Cindy LaFerle is one of my favorite writers out there in the midlife cybersphere.  She’s smart, thoughtful, and thought provoking as you can see from this humorous essay.  Until I read this piece on the attachment we all have to our lipstick, I never really thought about it.  But, I realize I horde my lipstick too...when I find the right one I nurse that puppy along until there isn’t a color speck left.

Ah, we have to have SOMETHING we can invest with the magic to always look our most powerful and alluring.  Admit it, don’t most of us feel naked without our lipstick?  But with it...well, ‘I am Woman, hear me roar!’
