I am almost 50 and got so excited with a possible job ans a caregiver/companion for a woman in her 40's dealing with Huntington Disease. It was well paid live in own apartment on an estate. I did not get the job. I am looking to care for other people but to also receive. Let me hear from you.

I'm sorry you didn't get the job, that was probably a disappointment.

Have you had experience in this field? If so, do you work for a home healthcare company or on your own? If you're on your own, you might consider going to work for a home health care company as that could give you experience (and references) AND contacts with people who might be wanting to hire their own full time caregiver.

I know in our area, home health care providers are ALWAYS looking for good employees. They are hard to find and to keep.

I hope you find a care-giving job that you want. Someone mentioned on another post that they are looking for job fulfillment and personally, I think this is one of the best ways to find it. It seems to me that I get more fulfillment when I'm looking out for the health of someone else than when I'm just looking to make money. Good luck on your search!
