I'm Trish, 52 years old & a friend sent me this link to this really great place...WomenBloom! I've found so many interesting articles & blogs. I'm looking forward to finding more. I'm looking to retire from my current job within the next 14 months or so & I'm hoping that through some of the many links, articles & blogs I will be able to find a new profession once retire. I'm raising my granddaughter (5 years old) & I face a few challenges there but wouldn't have it any other way. Maybe I will find some support out there for that as well!

I think I would like a fresh start. I've been doing the responsible thing for the last 25 years & am really ready to discover what I want to be when I grow up. I don't have a clue how to begin but thought maybe I'd get some good ideas here.
If there are others that are or were in the same boat I'd really enjoy hearing how you discovered your dreams or re-discovered them, what ever the case may be.

I'm 47 and new do this as well. I saw the same article in the Austin American Statesman and said "this is a good idea". I'm also new to the Austin area. I moved from Northern California and I'm just trying to find my way. I was the Director of Human Resources at a high-tech firm and a HR consultant in California. I would like to start my own HR consultant business here in Austin. If anyone has any information that could be of help to me.
thank you,
